Living Water Initiative

The people of Kenya struggle, on a daily basis, from so many environmental and governmental issues. One major issue is drinking water. So many illnesses are contracted through their contaminated drinking water. Our desire is to provide clean and safe water to the poorest of communities in Kenya as God provides the funds to do so.

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life."

Living Water initiative of HopeShines Ministries reveals a profound journey of faith, understanding, and commitment to meeting the essential needs of Kenyan villages. The story begins with a simple intention to donate a cow to a poverty-stricken village in Kenya, a gesture conceived during one of the QT morning bible studies led by Steve. This idea, however, took a dramatic turn when Daniel, the local contact in Kenya, highlighted a fundamental challenge: the village lacked the basic necessity of water, making it impossible to care for a cow. This revelation prompted a deeper introspection within the Ministry, leading to the decision to prioritize providing water. The situation was further compounded when it was discovered that even Daniel's village was without water, sparking a series of prayers and deliberations about how best to serve these communities.

In the pursuit of solutions, HopeShines explores different ways to provide water to areas in need of clean water. The ministry is committed to showing God's love through action and support by providing different means of getting access to clean water. This can include containers to catch run off rain water from roofs to drilling wells.
